This proposal is set in the City's former garment district on Washington Avenue. It attempts to reclaim the district's space and memories. Its canvas is the garment districts architecture, its volumes, its voids and its faded signs. This landscape reminds us that that the surfaces of the party wall, like wallpaper, can be peeled back to reveal a history buried underneath. |
